Tuesday 7/29/25 The Breakfast Spot in Leawood, KS or Rae's Cafe, Independence, MO

Option A this week is The Breakfast Spot in Leawood. Dan G. brought us here last May when I was out of town. Only 11 showed up, probably due to the weather. I warned them we would have about twice as many this time. They said no problem; they were glad to have us back. Weather forecast is for mid to high 80s in the morning. They will be expecting us around 10. This is NOT “The Breakfast Spot - Con Huevos” on West 75th Street. Ride safe and I hope to see you there.

Option B this week is Rae's Cafe, Independence, MO. We haven't been there since early spring. The forecast is for it to be near 100 in the afternoon and 80 in the morning. So lets do an early breakfast at Rae's. They will be expecting us at 9:30, see you all there.

Lee is tending to his wife Rosetta after her back surgery, so I'll get some pictures posted. we had a good crowd, 15 Romeos and a real doll! Our waitress, Shannon took great care of us, she was running most of the time, keeping us happy and coffee cups full. Food was good as always.
George A. stopped by to inform us of an opportunity to escort the Traveling Vietnam Wall from Grain Valley to set up in Buckner. Thank you George for helping escort the precious cargo.
Now, George is a good Romeo, good husband and Christian Motorcycle rider, but, I have to say his side car riding partner is a real doll! Thanks everyone for getting out in the heat and Rosetta we're glad you're getting out of the hospital today!

We had 27 ROMEOs at The Breakfast Spot this morning. It was warm when we got there and really hot when we left. Danielle had her hands full taking care of all of us along with the restaurant's other customers. It took a while for us to place and get our orders. We filled the time reminiscing about our motorcycles, trips, sights, people we've known along the way, and upcoming rides. Later, Danielle told me she wasn't use to handling larger groups. I told her it was okay, at our ages we were a little cranky but really had no urgency to be anywhere else. Hope you enjoyed the morning and had a safe ride home. It was hot and August isn't even here yet!
