VOLLAND, KS ???

In the November 10, 2013 "Kansas City Star Magazine" I saw this article that I thought might be of interest to you. A Kansas City Area couple has bought and is rehabbing an OLD building in Volland, KS. We all love riding from Alma to Alta Vista (K-4 and K-99) and this is right in the same area. Knowing we are always looking for a destination this might be one to keep and eye on.

I know the area well. Volland is only two homes with the old store. Bob Diehl knows the store well, since his grandfather farmed a couple of miles of the east, while he lived in Alma. While there is no place to eat and barely a place to park in Volland, the restaurant in Alta Vista is open. Deb's Restaurant in Alma is closed.

The route on the map is not paved from Alta Vista to Volland. Recommend using Old K-10 between Alta Vista and Alma to get to Volland. It's paved and in pretty good shape.
