Guys - It's late Saturday nite and I finally have found a place for us to go to next week. Whew!
Sometimes it's like pulling teeth to find a place to go for these weekly rides but I don't mind because I know you guys enjoy them. I don't have time to look up much info about the town but since we've been there before back in '07' and again last year, I know you are familiar with the place, so..........

Guys - Just a quick report here and not a complete play by play of the whole day although it would be interesting. Twenty seven of us convrged upon the Pepper Pot today and had ourselves a time. The special was smashed potatoes covered with noodles and corn on the side along with a roll. It was an unusual fare kinda like momma would make at home and tasted like it. MMMMMMmm good! I didnt know what kind of turnout we would get today, it being right after the Arkansas outing but not to worry. Guys came in from Lindsborg, Salina, Abilene, Lyons, Minneapolis, Hutchinson and Topeka. Yep, Topeka! Harry Bryant, John Martens and Tom Lebbert honored us with their presence while on the way West to Colorado. They also took high mileage honors and shared equally at 135 miles recorded over. Fortunately I had three more of the coveted awards left that are so much in demand that people actually have been known to lie about their miles. Who wouda thunk a ROMEO would stoop so low, Harry!
Turns out that this is Leigh Davenports home town so while all the rest of us were enjoying our meal, Leigh was galyvanting around like it was old home week. I'm sure some were happy when we left so they could also eat what was by then getting cold from Leigh's constant visiting. I casught him later even, outside trying to get some folks on his beauty of a yellow trike. Probably to charge them for rides no doubt!
With bellies full and a great rest of the day ahead of us, we all split up as usual to do our own things! It just can't get more fun that that!
