Lunch 11:00am Nov. 20th Overbrook, Ks

Post by lleeth »

We went here in June and as always the food and service was great.
I thought before the weather got real bad, it would be a good idea
to make a return visit. The Hamburgers, pork tenders and home made fries
are very good. The owner said she would also try to come up with a good Special.

They don't open till 11:00 am, so take your time. Hopefully it will be a nice
day to be outside and enjoy a late Fall day.

Hope to see you all Wednesday. As always ride or drive safe. Larry #2

Things looked a little bleak this morning at 6:30 with light rain, south winds, and temps in the hi 30's/lo 40's and it looked like Larry #2 might be dining alone. But the ROMEO gods shined on him because by 9:30 the pavement was drying, winds were moderate and temps had risen to 45 or so, and that brought out 14 stalwart ROMEO's to celebrate the pre-Thanksgiving lunch at Conrad's in Overbrook.

Stay tuned for a decision from either Larry or Bucky soon about whether there will be ride next week. Nevertheless, have a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. If we don't ride, it would be a great week for a cold weather bike cleanup! On a side note, Bucky had cataract surgery on his second eye today so he should be able to see better where he's going (or been). Hopefully he'll be ready to join us for our next ride. Great day to be a ROMEO!

There weren't any pecans to pick or circus rides, but there was plenty of citizenship in evidence. Notice John finishing the clean-up of trash from the streets of downtown Overbrook. Good citizenship is not limited to the Kansas City rides!

For those not in the mood for chicken and noodles, the burger looked like a pretty good choice. Plus they didn't come with green beans.
