Wednesday North Central ROMEO Breakfast Ride for 7-11-12

Post by Richard »

Guys - Here's the format, just fill in the blanks while I'm on vacation. Leonard has done this before so he knows how to do it. Put the burden on him for not showing up on the 4th.
After you guys see how easy it is to do this maybe somebody will want to take it over from me.........wheeeeeee!

Here's the place........................

As always............ride careful, ride safe.

You're putting a lot of pressure on me. Had a good reason for not showing.........had to pick up my new bike.

OK, good buddy, I'll do it this once but don't plan on getting off the hook anytime soon. You're too good to replace.
So here's the place:

The K-18 Cafe
Lucas, KS
5495 Highway K18
(785) 525-6262

Lucas as you might recall is the town with the Garden of Eden and now a public restroom that is destined to become a top tourist attraction. http://www.grassrootsart.net/menu_EventsBowlPlaza.html ..........I'll be watching to see if Big Jim can hold it until we get there..........Leonard

Well Duh....now I see where everyone got the idea about a breakfast ride, my apologies to those who showed up for breakfast. There were 23 that made it for lunch and once our eyes adjusted to the dark room everyone seemed to have a good time. Even if it did take a while to get served, thanks for everyone's patience.
Several of us went downtown after lunch to check out the public restroom. It was unique for sure.
I will revive one of Richard's customs, that of Bike of the Day. That honor has to go to Steve McGee of Salina with his 1973 Yamaha XT 500. He and Emory rode the dirt roads all the way from Salina. They didn't even look that dirty.
