5/8 Tues TIGHTWAD CAFE, TIGHTWAD, MO
Ok, I have been holding this one for the perfect day and this is it. THE ROMEOS ARE RETURNING TO SEE CARRIE AT THE TIGHTWAD CAFE!!!
If I had to pick a favorite girl and a favorite place it would have to be Carrie and the Tightwad Cafe. I guess they might not be open on Tuesdays, but when I said this is the Romeo's, Carrie said "Is this ROGER? I said, "yes it is and would you like to have us this Tuesday?" and Carrie said, "What time do you want me to open up??" No not too many places respond like that. The last time we went to the Tightwad Cafe, Brent Stevens from KCTV5 accompanied us and we had a BIG time.
Get directions from our google map All the rides for this week http://tinyurl.com/Romeo-Rides-This-Week I told Carrie that the weather looks good so she can expect a big crowd. She said she would open at 10:00 and serve breakfast to those who wanted breakfast and would have a special for the lunch crowd. She said Tuesday's are usually Taco's, but she wasn't sure. Probably has to check with Mom. Anyway, you can see I am excited about returning to Tightwad. It is always fun to go some place where the food is good and the faces are so friendly. The Romeos are always special in Tightwad!!

Please say HI to Doug. Doug is one of the Ride Coordinators from the new Romeo Mid Missouri Group. Three riders came over to join us today from Columbia. I am embarrassed that they made it to one of the KC rides before I made it over to Columbia. There are really nice guys and are really hoping some of us will come to their Campout "FireNite" May 19. Here is a link to all the information. http://www.romeoriders.com/forums/viewt ... =21&t=1750 They are really planning on having good time. Hope you will plan to attend.

Re: 5/8 Tues TIGHTWAD CAFE, TIGHTWAD, MO
FYI! Today after leaving Carries Tightwad Cafe the Butler group took the long way home via Iconium, Lowry City, Osceola, Rockville and Rich Hill making for a great afternoon riding some of the west central Missouri roads. At around 2:30 we did have on incident that could have been very serious. While riding on Hwy B west of Osceola a deer jumped the road in front of us. It was far enough ahead and we were going slow enough that I didn't hit the deer and had no accident. However a second deer came out of the ditch and decided to cross the road following the first deer and in the process of crossing the road it attempted to jump over Marty's trike landing on the trunk. There is some minor damage to the trunk that can be repaired. The important part is that Marty was not injured.
Just a reminder that even in broad daylight they are still out there and can cause a problem.
Ride safe and see you next week

I know a lot of you guys remember Bob Hagen. He made some of our first KC Romeo rides along with Bob Hess. They teased about going on Romeo rides so they could sneak a cigar out of their wivies range Anyway, I got the following email today from Bob, who now lives in Santa Clara, CA, but still keeps track of the Romeos. Proof that we do reach a lot of people.

Wow, you guys sure have a lot of fun! I recall the first time in Tightwad; I never thought that place would make it, but it has…..
Anyone from the area going to Sturgis this summer? I may go. Anytime you are in the area, pls stay with us!
Enjoying the ROMEO updates in Santa Clara,
Bob
