South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, March 28, 11:00 AM

Post by roginoz »

We haven’t been to Angie D’s for quite a while, and we haven’t been south for a few weeks, so let’s head to Oxford next Wednesday. Not much of a trip for the Oxford and Winfield crew, unless they take the long way around, and about forty miles for those of us in Wichita.

Angie D’s is a small place, so let’s show up at 11:00 and eat before they need to feed the local working folks. They’ve always treated us well, and fed us as quickly as they were able, so relax and shoot the bull while you’re waiting for lunch.

The forecast has changed back and forth over the past few days, but right now (Saturday) it looks as though next Wednesday will be a good day to ride. We’re currently expecting partly cloudy skies with a high of seventy-seven degrees. If the weatherman turns out to be wrong, we can always drive instead of ride.

TIME:

11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 28

PLACE:

Angie D’s
218 W Main
Oxford, KS 67119

We had a really good day to ride, and consequently a really good turnout. Thirty-eight people signed in, riding thirty-five bikes. (A couple two-up, and one broken leg traveling by car.) Tad, Ron, and Gene all rode over eighty miles. Mike McCorkle (Bob's son) and Solvor Hansen came all the way from Oslo, Norway, making the final forty-six miles riding on the back of Goldwings.
