This park's name is: Cedar Ridge National Park. Ashland is 23 mi. south of Columbia, Mo.-on Hwy. 63. Rt.Y joins Hwy.63 in Ashland. The Park is EAST of Ashland on Route Y- 6 miles exactly. The Park is well marked with a U.S. Forest Sign. I do not have GPS Coordinates. Rt.Y is a nice PAVED curvy two-lane blacktop. The Park is located in Callaway Co, 3 Mi. west of Guthrie, Mo. (Not incorporated).

I see a National Forest (Mark Twain National Forest) west of Guthrie which has a Pine Ridge Campground as part of the Pine Ridge Recreation Area and it has a Cedar Creek Trail; however, there is no Cedar Ridge National Park in Missouri or anywhere in the US National Park System. So would it be the Pine Ridge Campground to which you are referring? Not trying to be argumentative, just want to make sure we have the correct location on the map for your activity.
Thanks,
Gary

That's it Gary. They always have had some confusion over the posted sign and the printed name. It is one hidden Park...but flat awesome for Camping. What's neat is it has huge 200'ft. pines. The grass-camping area is plush and soft tundra. The restrooms are very modern concrete/stainless types. Water is from a spring thru a faucet system. And it IS ALL PAVED!! No gravel! Fire pits all over, picnic tables, just the coolest Park on one "wicked road!"

Doug,
In browsing around Google Maps I finally found the Pine Ridge Campground (you really need to zoom in before it shows up, like to 1000 feet). But when I clicked on it it showed an address of 1545-1599 Meadowmere Drive, New Bloomfield, MO. I pasted that into another browser and it took me right there. I haven't tried it yet but I think that address may be good for GPS's. Somebody try it out and let us know. If that is the case then you won't need coordinates.
Here is a link to a Google Map that shows the campground.

I see now that Gary has also found it and put the location (with the address) in the ROMEO "Rides This Week" Google Map.

Thanx for the help. I don't know how to do ALL that gizmo map stuff!
Please note: The Park entrance is on a crest on Rt.Y. Rolling hills. The speed limit is 55 MPH on the road, so...you MUST EXERCISE extreme caution when turning into the Park entrance. An accident there at that speed is NOT pretty. Locals know to watch this entrance/exit...but others....just be careful! Ashland which is 6 miles to the west, has a population of 2,900 souls...so it has all the items needed for the park. Gas also is Texaco (and others) w/premium values at 93 RON.. It has a 24hr. McDonald's too...just in case there are any BigMac Attacks. I hope the weather is awesome! See you all there.... Doug

MidMissouri's FireNite: May 19th. I hope that everyone can come bye. We plan on escorting a ride @ 11AM from the Pine Ridge Park to Herman Mo. After stopping in Herman, our escort Leader will take another River Road back to the Park. SO FAR....the weather looks nice. I am providing some wood for all and a bonfire. (FirePits are in the park) Just for safety, the road (RT.Y) to the park is Colorado Awesome. Also meaning very, very, curvy! Please ride within your skills. We want you all there safe. I will also have some charcoal for those wanting to cook. Grills are in the park too. This park is a hidden treasure. If possible....I'd kinda like a SHOUT if you plan on coming. I'll have beverages too. (Sorry, we do not provide alcoholic beverages). We sure wanna meet you and have a great time to sit and tell some tall tales!
