Guys - I'm baaaaack! And do I have some stories to tell! Whatever Joyce tries to tell 'ya, just take it with a grain of salt. I really didn't wreck her car outside of Columbus, Ohio on the way home from seeing our youngest son in New York State..... they wrote it up as an incident! Like the kind trooper said.....that makes all the difference! And no, we didn't see any of the Lions and Tigers that were running loose when we went through!
But wait.....I digress! What was I fix'in to do here.....oh yeh, the lunch ride.....I forgot....let me get back with 'ya a little later, right now I have to mail off the title to her precious Mercedes and then see about getting lights on the used car we were forced to buy to get back home.
OK guys, we have a place to go to finally for next wednesday. We've been here before but it's been so long ago that I haven't been able to find it quite yet. Not a problem though even that they are no longer open regularly on Wednesday's any longer. The kind lady I spoke with offered to open special just for us, so, let's all get our warm weather gear off the rack, air it out , and get it ready because next wednesday is supposed to be a tad chilly. After a week just South of Buffalo though, I think I can handle our wimpy fall weather.
Here's the place.........................Dry Dock Cafe
1495 Hwy.141
N. across Kanopolis Dam approx. 1 mile
(Stone Bldg. on East Side of road)
785-546-2414
Jerry & Barbara Pickering, Owners
As always...............ride careful, ride safe and I'll see you at the Dry Dock. Richard
