Ok everyone, it’s time to start preparing for another “Fall Romeo Rendezvous!” And Bob Savner has consented to be our coordinator and go-to man for this event.

All ROMEO RIDERS, land or sea, are invited to meet at Mather Lodge at Petit Jean Mountain State Park in central Arkansas for three days of fun and riding. This mountain sits majestically in all its grandeur looking over the Arkansas River and is the best kept secret in all of Arkansas.

For directions use your computer or cell phone to enter the words “Mather Lodge.” You also can use your Maps App (or) GPS for directions. Presto . . . “Mather Lodge” pops right up showing you the way, not to mention all the wonderful pictures on their WEB SITE.

There is a huge dining area available at the lodge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are plenty of places available to lounge for rest and relaxation. And a phenomenal number of selections to choose from when looking for a place to lodge. There are rooms in the lodge and overnight cabins to stay in. And if you’re into camping, they have excellent facilities for that. So, feel free to bring your camping gear and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. If you want to bring your RV or trailer, they have plenty of hookups and sites to set up camp.

Wednesday night before heading back home there will be our traditional dinner together at 6 pm in the “Mather Lodge Dining” area. We will be ordering from a menu.

HERE’S HOW TO GET STARTED:
When registering ask for Lee to register as a Romeo (501-727-5522). You can cancel any time up until 48 hours before the date of your stay.

FYI: you will want to make your reservations long before, and no later than September 3rd. All unregistered rooms will be opened back to the public after that day. It is my guess that with limited lodging, rooms will fill up fast. If you should find when making reservations that the rooms are all taken, there are plenty of motels down and around the mountain in towns like Russellville, Morrilton, and Dardanelle.

All info can be copied by the forum coordinators at their leisure. It’s not too early to start planning and getting a room reserved. A lot of us are looking forward to another great Romeo Rendezvous. Those of you who can make the journey, hope to see you all there!

I asked Bob S. about this year's Romeo Rendezvous, and this was his reply with some pictures from the event: "The rendezvous was fine. Only had 13 with two from Arkansas. Had many cancellations."
