NOVEMBER 26TH, BREAKFAST (or) LUNCH, BRADLEY’S CORNER CAFE, TOPEKA, KS

Post by Al Hayes »

This ride will be on the Wednesday just before THANKSGIVING and I will be in Oklahoma. I’m posting this ride for those of you who may not be traveling away from home. Enjoy the ride!!

As a reminder, Bradley’s is in old T-Town, Topeka. It is north of the river over the bridge, at the intersection of North Kansas Avenue and Laurent St. This is not a big place, but they now have another room, and it should hold us nicely. If you've never been to Bradley's, their specialty is PIE!

Weather wise, we can really be grateful that this pie ride won’t be in the 20’s but more like the 40’s with just a small 4% prediction of rain in the forecast. That’s worth celebrating over a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of homemade pie.

Until then, I wish you all “Happy Trails” and a “Happy Thanksgiving!” I’ll miss not being able to join in this ride, but I will be wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable day to ride.

RIDE REPORT: BRADLEY’S CORNER CAFE, TOPEKA, KS

Post by schoolmaster »

I'm happy to report that there were only 11 ROMEO'S that had nothing better to do on the day before Thanksgiving than to ride to Bradley's Corner Cafe for a bite to eat and a little conversation. Of the 11 that showed, 7 of them rode motorcycles in the brisk 35 degree morning air! As usual, Bradley's food and service was top notch and the lunch special was a hot roast beef sandwich smothered in mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Very solid light lunch for your pre-Thanksgiving meal!

Some of the usual suspects and ne're-do-wells are pictured below:

Thanks to those that showed up today. It was a pleasant, brisk morning for a nice ride! To all you ROMEO's, have a happy Thanksgiving and we hope to see you next week for a little post-Thanksgiving/pre-Christmas get-together! It was a great day to be a ROMEO!!
