It’s time to head either north or east, so let’s return to The Station, in Potwin, for lunch next Wednesday. (I’m going out of town this weekend, so I thought that falling back to an old favorite would simplify matters.) Last time we were there the food and the service were good, and they really seemed to appreciate our presence. I’ll be out of town, so John Kuhn will have the sign-in book.
I’ve received a couple of suggestions for new lunch destinations, one east and one northwest; these are greatly appreciated. (I’m selfishly saving them for when I get back…) If there’s a good place you’ve been, and the group hasn’t, send me an e-mail. (You can click on the little envelope symbol in the upper right corner of this message.) Suggestions for places we’ve been that you really liked and want to revisit are welcome, as well.

Well this is the LAST time I'm going to attach pictures and loose the reply.
We had a great turnout at Potwin today.
23 gentlemen???/Romeo riders, graced The Station and us with there presence.
The food and DESERT were great as always. The ladies took good care of us.
The Blackberry Cobbler was hand picked and made at our request. EXELENT, with ice cream.
I tried to attach pictures but my computer timed out three times, so, if you want to see who was there, e-mail me at zulukuhn@hotmail.com and I'll send them to you.
Hope to see youall next week.

Summer Schedule
We could move into summer mode for July and August; that should cover the hottest days. How about a 9:30 AM breakfast? Most places keep serving breakfast until 10:00. We'd arrive after the locals leave for work, and have time for a little riding before we ate. It would also get us home before the hottest part of the day. I have a place with plenty of room and a really good breakfast buffet that we could plug in for next week. (OK, that's a day before July arrives, but I imagine it'll still be hot enough.)
I'm glad we had a good turnout; I had a late lunch in Albuquerque today. Nice little place called the Flying Star Cafe. It was 100 degrees, but still pretty comfortable due to the low humidity. I ran into a thunderstorm on the ride back to Taos, but was completely dried out by the time I got back.
