I had thought of sitting something up for Monday if the weather holds. However I did a little quick checking for the 1st

Burlingame is closed, Both Club Four corners and Green Acres will be open. If you want to check a little more I can. What do you think about Monday?

Looking at the weather for Thursday, It should be up to about 32 degrees when it's time to leave for lunch and probably 40 or so at noon. A predicted high of 44 and as Harry says that's between three and three fifteen. My Old Hogely will start and run at those temperatures and I can make the ride if it's not too far. I don't have plug in clothes. Bucky the ball is in your court. We have one other person, anymore??

Usually lunch is on the early side, 1130 or so. Unless you count Larry and Larry and they eat about 1030 then grumble about why everyone else is late.

Club Four Corners about 15 miles south of Topeka.

Now for the rest of the story. someone by the name of Don, also known as our esteemed leader Klem ,would if we said 11:00 or 12:00, still get there at least 10 minutes late. Now thats the rest of the story. Happy New Year's Don , and all the rest of the Romeo's.

If I'm a leader the rest of you is in deep do do. I am more a facilitator merely making arrangements for the convenience of the group. Those that have followed me will testify that I seldom have a quick way to get anywhere. I am also know for making impromptu explorations of roads while in route to a destination.

As for being late, I do tend to have my own schedule and it reflects the fact that I haven't wore a watch for eight years. However there has been occasion that the Triumph was parked and cooling when that Green Goldwing made it's appearance.

I just got an email from the HOG and they are having breakfast scheduled for the same time as our lunch.

The New year has came and we met it like true riders. Well maybe not the really tough riders. I had told the lady at the restaurant there would be 20 of us for New Years and 15 were there for lunch. I was the last one out of the parking lot and 5 more from K.C. showed up. Am I good or what? All please note that after Larry gave me a ration for always being late, he came dragging in about when the food hit the table. Some lame story about his battery was dead. Anyway the temps were warm enough that I took a detour home to get a few more miles in. Got home to find the drain valve in the bottom of my air compressor had froze, ruptured, thawed and was blowing air. Got the old on off and should be able to pick one on and be back in service soon.

Was certainly good to see all of you and start the new year off right. tomorrow looks like it might be a day for a short ride, but not looking good for lunch next week unless maybe on Friday. Forecast doesn't go that far. But I will try to work something in on the nice days through the winter. This is the time to be thinking of what we want to do and where we want to go when warm weather gets here.

Ride safe

I thought it was a great outing, but I never saw any of my friends. Hoser said, "I did not drive Monday, I was on my Interstate". Marilynn's in Osage has good pie! Hoser got there by K-99 and Reading. He does not have any friends, either.---------------HB
