This will be an escort and graveside service only for Senior Master Sergeant (R) Chester Kern. During the course of his career, SMSGT Kern was awarded the Air Force Meritorious Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal w/ 3 bronze oak leaf cluster (BOLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/ 4 BOLC, Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal w /1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster (SOLC) & 2 BOLC, National Defense Service Medal w/ 1 bronze star, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon w/ 1 BOLC, NCO Professional Education Graduate Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon.

The Patiot Guard participation was very much appreciated at the graveside service for Chet. Ten riders with ten flags.
