South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, June 12, 11:00 AM

I haven't had much luck outguessing the weather lately, but it appears that next Wednesday will be decent riding weather to let us get a bit farther out of town. We'll head back to the Barn, in Burrton. It's a bit over forty miles, or fifty minutes, from Wichita. If the ten percent chance of rain turns out to be one hundred percent, we all have cars and trucks.

The chicken fried steak is the big draw at the Barn, but there's also chicken, burgers, and salads. Everyone should find something suitable for lunch.

The Barn isn't open for breakfast on Wednesday; if you arrive before 11:00 you'll have to hang around outside and kick tires.

By the way: if you have a favorite destination that we haven't visited in a while, or a new place you think we'd enjoy, please let me know.

WOW, fantastic day to ride a bike! Fantastic meals and service from The Barn. A large group of ROMEOS on many bikes rolled a bunch of miles. We had only 4 show up in two 4 wheels machines.

Stats: 32 riders on 31 bikes plus the 4 in cages equals 36 total ROMEO's. The bikes totaled 1394 miles one way to the Barn. High mileage rider was one of the two from Arkansas City - Kyle Riedl rode his bike 106 miles to be the high mileage rider, his Ark City ride buddy Richard rolled his bike 100 miles.
