I have called and set up Leroy again at the Sunflower cafe for this weeks Friday ride. The time is 11:00 AM for lunch. The weather looks a lot cooler and hope we have a good turnout and safe ride.

Corwin:

Just had lunch yesterday at the Longhorn Family Restaurant at LaCygne, KS. It is located just East of the Junction of Hwy 69 and Hwy 152. They have good food and BBQ is a specialty. They have a meeting room in back if we need it. The RR's may have been there before, but if its been a while it might be nice to visit again if its not too far away from the area we try to stay within. It is 30 minutes north of Ft. Scott. Call 913-757-6699 if you might be interested.

Also, in talking with a couple of others who have visited Fort Scott recently, it has been recommended we visit the Nu-Grill restaurant. A '60's theme with that era music playing, the atmosphere and food are both great. They have a small meeting room...might hold 20 but be crowded. But we could easily scatter into the other dining areas and still have good times with the ones at each table. There is a great public parking lot across the street where we could safely park and showcase the bikes of those attending. It is located at 24 N. National Ave and easy to find. Phone # is 620-223-9949. We'd probably make front page of the Fort Scott newspapers.

I've not been around long enough to know where all the group has been...although I could look it up on the map couldn't I?...but there is also a good BBQ place in Parsons I like visit when through there. Maybe the Parsonites could help with info about it.
