Hello Kansas City,

It doesn't seem possible, but it has been over 8 years since Melissa and I moved from Kansas City to Virginia. I just saw a post on facebook that Gary posted of one of our rides from 12 years ago. I can't believe Romeos has lasted this long.

I celebrated my eighty first birthday this year and every day someone asks me, "ARE YOU STILL RIDING? Oh, hell yes! For my birthday I bought myself a 2026 Honda Gold Wing and rode 5000 miles to Sturgis and back.

Of course, we don't don't know what the future has in store for us, but for now all is good. I have said, ever since I have known him, Leland has been my idol, and I am still trying to keep up with him.

Anyway, someone sent me this video, and knowing we are RETIRED OLD MOTORCYCLIST EATING OUT, I thought you might like this. I did.

You are always, with me

Miss you guys!!!

Roger, you will always be our idol. Although several Romeos like you are still enjoying two wheels, I can no longer safely ride on two wheels. Keep on while you can as one never knows when the big age wall will stop your lifestyle.

Great to hear you all are doing well. We all are getting older but every week doing rides is a blast. Take care. We miss you and your organizational skills.

Great to hear from you Roger! Enjoyed the video. I’m pleased that you are doing well and still riding. I regularly read your posts from Virginia and it looks like there are lots of great places to ride. I too will hit that 8th decade in a couple of months and might use that as an excuse to buy a new Indian!! (Although I did buy a new Pursuit last year and rode with my son on a ride to Athens, OH last summer and am planning a ride to Santa Fe next month.)

ROMEO is indeed surviving and although some of the faces change there are still lots of the old regulars hanging in there, and in fact our numbers are still growing. The canaraderie of riding and sharing a table together never gets old! Appreciate you staying in touch and know that you are still missed!
