AUGUST 13TH, BREAKFAST / LUNCH, 9AM-11 AM, OLD 56 FAMILY RESTURANT, OLATHE, KS

I'm giving everyone a heads-up, should someone be thinking I’m talking about Ottawa, KS, rather than Olathe, KS. There was an "Old 56 Family Restaurant" in Ottawa but has long been closed. So, think Olathe, KS for this next ride.
I've asked Mick Lowe to do the after post for me and he kindly agreed. Because I have an important appointment after lunch in Olathe this next week, so I’m choosing Olathe for our next destination. I’ve been sharing with many of you that Sharon and I are preparing to make a major change in our lives. We are selling our house and downsizing to the “Tallgrass Retirement Center” in Overland Park. My personal time is starting to become a bit hectic until we are moved and situated. If you should see me a bit distracted in the next few weeks . . . the explanation I’ve just shared should explain it all.
It looks like the weather will be dry and in the 80’s. but not too bad for an August summer day. So, what do you say? Let’s give it a whirl and have some breakfast or lunch at good Old 56 Family Restaurant in Olathe, KS. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Their food and service have earned them a notable reputation and make this place a nice watering hole. We certainly won’t need our “Long Johns,” so stay cool whether you’re on a two-wheeler or four. I hope to see you all there. “Happy Trails” until then!
