South Central Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, August 24, 9:30 AM

It's been a bit over a year since we visited Caldwell, so we'll head to the Red Barn next Wednesday. They have all the standard cafe breakfast offerings, and we've always had good food and service there.

Caldwell is about sixty miles, or an hour's ride, south and slightly west of Wichita. You can get there via the Kansas Turnpike and US166/US81/US166, or by way of K42 and K49. There's only about ten minutes difference between routes. The Red Barn is at the south end of town; it'll show up on the east side of the road right about the time you think you've missed it.

ATTN: Bob Hoch – Charlie has an eye appointment next Wednesday. Any chance you could take a few photos?

A couple of weeks ago the section of US166 between I35 and 81 had road construction with a very long delay controlled with stop lights. Very long delay.

ROGER:
Sorry, I will be missing ROMEO for awhile. I’m in Wesley CCU with a gallbladder attack that caused a slew of other problems. Hope to be back in the fall.

Kyle: Bob's the one who's off for a while. Hopefully, we'll see him and the Spyder sooner rather than later.

No photos today, but I think we had about fifteen show up in Caldwell. Good food, and a nice day to ride. We took the slightly longer scenic route down, and returned via US 81.

Next week will be our last breakfast ride for the year; we'll start lunch rides again on September 7. I'll have an announcement posted in a few days. We'll probably stay south, and hit a new place.
