Our SENIOR member, CLIFF, who always has the "Need for Speed" took the group on a really nice ride. Tom, Dave, Warren and Cliff had a great time and rode some of our favorite roads and some new ones. Cliff is reliving the fun times he had in this area thirty years ago.

We had a lot of rain in the last couple of days, which has caused flooding and the BROWN water. This bridge has been replaced and raised or the water would have been over it. Even so, there was a car parked on the other side, JUST IN CASE :o The "old timers" around here have been "burnt" and don't take any chances. ;)

Of course, you can't drive past Cooter's without stopping. Warren was impressed, that even though they don't put it on the menu, cook would fry you some eggs :D

I was unable to go this morning. Warren sent me the pictures and reported that the weather couldn't have been better and Cliff took them on a super ride.

I was busy this morning, and couldn't leave with Cliff, but I took out after Sir Speedy, but I couldn't catch him. He quit trying to find Swinging Bridges after the first one and he were smart. I tried to find the other four swinging bridges, but could only find one more. Because of the high water and gravel I spent most of my day turning around. I am now very proficient with the Gold Wing's walking gear. Here is the link that says there are FIVE Suspension bridges on the North Fork of the Shenandoah river and it gives their coordinates. https://www.bridgemeister.com/list.php? ... doah+River Like I said I only found one more than what Cliff had shown me.

Here are some pictures I took of where swinging bridges should have been and the one I found. Water was over two the the bridges. I hope you find the pictures interesting. I enjoyed seeing the two bridges and the high BROWN water!!
