LOST RIVER STATE PARK 8/14/21

Andy and Donna took us on a breakfast ride this morning. There were 5 bikes and 7 for breakfast, Donna and Andy, John, Tom, Cliff and Melissa and Roger. I believe our numbers might have decreased a little because of concern about the weather. We have learned you cannot predict the weather in Virginia. I must say the group that showed up was a hardy group and your could tell they didn't care whether it rained or not. THEY CAME TO ENJOY THE RIDE NO MATTER THE WEATHER and they did!!

Before we left Andy told the group what to expect

Really good food

John, who I called Steve all day, was a good addition to the group.

After a very good breakfast we headed into West Virginia through the beautiful countryside. Then as we headed up into the mountains we saw one of my favorite sights, the clouds below the tops of the mountains.

We did run into a few sprinkles.

But more wet roads than rain

We think these were DUCKS and boy did they have an attitude. She was in ATTACK MODE

This is Cliff's new Spyder. It is beautiful and Cliff really seemed to like it.

We really had a nice day. Andy and Donna were the perfect host and hostess. They planned a gorgeous ride which had something for everyone, beautiful scenery, mountains, ducks/geese and twisties. We can tell you the the ROUTE 11 YARD SALE, that Cliff says extends all the way to GEORGIA is really BIG. Andy set a pace at which everyone could enjoy the beautiful scenery. Melissa was especially happy
