The forecast for Wednesday is yet again  50% chance so I guess you toss a coin to figure out whether it's going to rain or not. That's the forecast for most of next week :!:

We'll be going back "rain or shine" to the Hilltop Market in Easton KS which has been a ROMEO perennial for some time. Talked to Margaret who didn't know what the lunch special will be, but it's always good there. This is a breakfast-UNTIL-1100 kinda place so breakfast lovers keep that in mind and show up accordingly.

GOOD news is the KanRoad website shows there are NO road closures to Easton now. Did show a yellow-only (no red) construction zone still listed west of Leavenworth so the worst you should get is slowed down a little. When I went through there a few weeks ago it was in pretty good shape 8-) --no problems getting to Easton so see ya at the:

The day started out looking cloudy, foggy and possibly wet (at least in Topeka) but turned into a near-perfect riding day in NE KS. Result was 40 bikes (Hoser counted 39 then 1 showed up after he left) and at least 43 ROMEOs including 2 I know of who came in a car. Many had breakfast which they really know how to do at Hilltop which helped out but people were still trickling in toward noon :!:

Many headed out for more riding and pie afterward. Since I forgot my good camera (not actually good but better than my "not-too-bright-phone") Mick took some pics which will be posted later. We're all glad to see Mick back in the saddle just 1 week after his motorcycling cardiologist did a tune up on him, and I'm sure he'll have something great planned for us next week 8-)

Swanee forgot his camera today so I took a few photos for a brief ride report. It's good to be back and riding again, and it was a very nice day for a ride. Overcast skies this morning and fairly low temps made it quite pleasant to be out. However, if you were standing around visiting and the sun popped out, there was no breeze and you noticed the humidity right away. But that didn't stop a bunch of ROMEOS from standing around doing what we do best. The official Hoser count was 39 but after he left 2 more pulled in late for a total count of 41 today. And I think we got through the ride without a drop of rain, although the sky did threaten a time or two.
Everyone stayed around for quite awhile before heading out in all directions to go to a motorcycle store, run errands, look for pie, or dog sit. But it turned out to be a pretty darn great day to be a ROMEO!

Thanks again to Swanee for doing a great job while I was out for a tune-up!
