This is a good time of year to stay close in, so we'll be heading to Derby next week. We've had a request to return to Mija's, which is now the Little Firehouse Cafe. The previous owners have retired, but I'm told that they still have the same menu items, plus some new ones. They serve breakfast until they close at 2:00 PM, in case you're in the mood for bacon and eggs.

Little Firehouse Cafe is towards the south end of town, on the east side of K-15. It's in an old Peter Pan Ice Cream store building, if you can remember that far back. While it's not a huge place, will hold our winter sized group just fine.

The Weather Channel is forecasting warmer weather for early next week, but it looks like we'll be back down to the low or mid forties by Wednesday. If we get a break and some warm weather, take a short ride to Derby. If it's cold again, or wet or icy, we've done well on four wheels so far this year.

I hope to be on South Padre Island next Wednesday, so I'll do my weekly ROMEO ride with the Winter Texans the following Friday. Brian has volunteered to carry the sign-in book.
