Just got back from a good meal in Richmond,Ks. A couple week's ago Don sent me some E=mail which said he had stopped at the restaurant in Richmond and it was very good. Then Mick told me Wed. that he had stopped there last Friday. Said the Pork T was really good. Well I went there today. A very nice couple, Mike and Patty Watson are the new owner's. I had one of the best hamburger's and home made french fries ive had in a long time. Patty said she would fix up a special for us ROMEO'S also. So lets all stop by and help them in there new adventure.

The first lunch ride of the fall season attracted a lot of attention today to the Highway 59 Grill in Richmond, Ks. The draw of the first lunch ride in awhile, Bucky's charming personality and promise of good food, the great weather and a central location for Eastern Kansas, Kansas City, and Southeast Kansas brought out 68 ROMEO's in what seems to be the largest EK ride in recent memory. Although the staff was expecting "around 30" and they were a little short-handed, they worked very hard to get everyone served by around 12:20. As usual, ROMEO's were patient and used the extra time to do what they do best-visit.I always try to get everyone in a photo, but I'm sure I missed some folks today due to the large number of ROMEO's in attendance. It's really fun to see everyone support our group and we are truly lucky to have so many great guys and gals who love riding and enjoy the fellowship of our endeavor. Also thanks to several guys who helped out by clearing tables and Don showed off his pouring skills as well. All in all, I believe today would qualify as just another great day to be a ROMEO.

Great job!! Bucky, Larry II and Mick and everyone else that helped make this a special lunch!
We try to go to small "mom and pop" cafes in "small" towns, but when you have numbers like today it is difficult. You do a good job and it is appreciated or you wouldn't have the big crowds.
From all of us thanks for all you do..

Hey! Who's the wild guy running around, banging his forehead and saying "Guess my name?" ? Is that a club hand shake that I'm not aware of?
Anyway, me and Thor (that is the name I gave to him, seemed to fit) decided the line going in was almost as slow as the line coming out so we went to Ottawa and ate at the Highway 56 Cafe (I think). No line there and the patty melt was good but a bit pricy. Thor had chicken and a little more. Seems the cute waitress was sweet on our Thor and gave him a half of lovely looking chicken free to take home. Fess up Thor, what did you tell the waitress?
Anyway, me'n Thor had a great ride. I'm sorry I missed the Highway Grill. It did smell good in there. I will give them a try on a slower day.
I better go set my alarm clock for the next ride.
