South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, April 4, 11:00 AM
Posted: Sun Apr 01, 2012 12:47 am
Sorry for the delay in posting this week’s ride, but I was waiting to get a better idea of the coming weather. I was planning to move us farther from home this week, but the weather forecast for Wednesday keeps getting worse. Right now the Weather Channel is calling for scattered thunderstorms, with a sixty percent chance of rain. Let’s meet somewhere nearby, where we can drive instead of ride in case the weatherman’s correct. I’d rather not book us in to one of the small town places and then disappoint them with a smaller than normal turnout.
The food at the Breadbasket is always good, and they’re reasonably close by. Their place is a little larger than what we normally visit, so fluctuations in group size due to the weather won’t affect them too much. The offer a number of good sandwiches, eight or ten soup choices, and a good salad bar. There’s always a daily special, too. The bread is homemade, and they make some impressive pie if you happen to have room for dessert.
If the weather turns out better than expected, we can always ride and take the long route home.
