Tomorrow, Wed 9/10 Eastern Kansas is going to one of our favorites Green Acres in Vassar, KS This is the place we always celebrate on New Years Day. Next week a large number of us are heading to the ROMEO Fall Rendezvous, at the HUB in Marble Springs, AR. For those going down on Monday 9/16 Junior is providing the "DOGS" around the camp fire!! A fun kickoff to a good week. There is plenty of camping and a second motel has been arranged for. So it is not too late to go.

For those going to the Fall Rendezvous on Tuesday or NOT going to the Fall Rendezvous, I am planning a breakfast/lunch at Lesia's Cafe, North 2nd St., in Clinton, MO. We did this last year (thanks Frank) and it worked http://www.romeoriders.com/forums/viewt ... =20&t=2062 So if you are going to the Hub, stop on your way down and if you are not going to the HUB put Lesia's on your schedule for next Tuesday, 10:30 is a good time! Breakfast stops at 11.

Hi My name is Ray Leiker and I have probably a unusual request here but I would love for it to happen.
First off let me tell you I was Diagnosed with Classic Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer back on Jan 7 2013 , and
I'm not wanting any treatment , but here is what I'm doing ,,,,,,Please mark your calendar for this date
SEPT 14TH 2013 ON A SAT ,,I'm throwing a large BBQ bash at my house . Starts at 1 pm and runs until
9 pm or so ,,, going to have a bouncy house for the kids ,, bad mitten , horse shoes , and lots of food
and even my karaoke set up ,,, I joined the group today and look forward to meeting you all when ever
I can ,,,,,, I'd like to invite who ever reads this that ALL ARE WELCOME ,,, Im trying to get as many bikes
as I can ,,,,,,My hospice nurse says 6-12 months is all I have by stats ,,, but I believe the good lord
will take me when he wants to and only then ,,, I'd Love to see 50 bikes show up here that would awesome

What would you do if you were told you had 6 months to live??
Well, Ray Leiker's answer to part of that question is HAVE A PARTY and try to get 50 guys on motorcycles to come. I don't know about the 50! but I know there is going to be one!!
If you would like to join me, meet me at the Hub Motorcycle Store, 100 East US 24 Highway, Independence, MO at 1:00 this Saturday and we will go to Ray's Party and if you can't make it at 1, the party goes till 6.

Wow , Thank you Roger and everyone else for the warm welcome I received today I really enjoyed it alot , and I'm really looking forward to Sat with all my friends and family and I am so glad you can make it by the party ,, the party means alot to me ,, I love all my family and friends so much and motorcycles have been my passion since 6 yrs old ,,, once again Thanks so much ,, see ya Sat Sept 14th around 1pm , or whenever you get ,, will be going strong until 9pm or so .. Thanks everyone today for the GREAT welcome .

Thank you Roger for your nice comments and wishes.... Our house is rather empty tonight, as we were married for 45 years... It will take me a couple of weeks, but I hope to get back on the Tuesday rides, as I am sure they will help me.... Rod
