SEPTEMBER 18TH, LUNCH ONLY, 11:00 AM, KIRCKWOOD & CO., HIGHLAND, KS‬

Post by Al Hayes »

“I’m back in the saddle again!” I thank Mick for the great job he has done, filling in for me while my being away. I see that I missed out on a really beautiful day last Wednesday. It looked like a very interesting ride too. I regret not being with you all but we’re about to change that this next week.

Ok, be that as may, let’s get right to the business at hand and to the post for next week’s ride. With help of good weather, it should be a delightful day riding up through the northland. This has been another one of our favorites. I was hoping to do both breakfast and lunch but unfortunately, they stopped serving breakfast, so it “Lunch Only” or nothing. There you have it. I hope everyone can make it and will see everyone there!

It was another good day to ride, and it didn’t get as warm as I had thought. The overcast skies saved us from a hot afternoon ride home. Before heading for home, I was humored by one of our own when they asked me when we will start going on longer rides. Of course, this was all being said with “Tongue in Cheek” and a grin. My reply was, “It won’t be long now!” It was good seeing everyone again and to be back in the saddle again.
