Early March was the first time for Romeo's to gather here, and the group was very impressed. I eat supper there all the time. In fact, I just came from there tonight after having their awesome fried shrimp special. This place is a true rural truck stop/restaurant that serves very good food at a very reasonable price. The average person would have no clue where this little village is unless you know the area well. Deerfield is halfway between Nevada, MO and Fort Scott, KS, right on US 54 highway. They were very excited when I called and said they would have things set up for us.
Even though we have good chances of rain next week, Friday looks to be mostly dry.
I will see you all there about 8:30.

Re: Friday 8/16/24 9:00 AM Emery's Truck Stop Deerfield, MO
For a week with plenty of scattered storms and rain, Friday turned out to be a clear sunny riding morning. It did start heating up by the time we got home, but hey, it is August. Eighteen Romeo's showed at Emery's Truckstop this morning, seven arriving on bikes. Jim would have made eight, but he said the ignition key on his bike got left in the accessory position and his battery was dead this morning, so Tahoe it was. LOL
Emery's again didn't let us down one bit. They had tables prepared for us and started taking orders immediately. The food started coming out very soon and the quality was excellent. The little waitress worked her rearend off and took great care of us.
